We refined the current LUNA II series with our proprietary magnesium gun body technology and upgraded to LUNA III series. Evolved functions from LUNA II series lead to further improvement in the usability of LUNA III series

Approachable design

○ While retaining the image of LUNA II, the simple surface composition gives a smart impression.
The shape of a grip was renewed to the one focused on handling functions.

Improved operability and durability

Needle knob
To change the knob size to larger and to change its shape to the one easy to grab made a knob easy to fine tune. Also, the durability and easiness to remove were improved by increasing both diameter and length of a screw.

Cheater Valve and Pattern Valve
The durability and easiness to fine tune were improved by changing both shape and internal structure of a knob.

Fluid inlet
The material for all models has been changed to stainless steel. Both durability and compatibility with waterborne paints (Gun weight increased by   3g) were better than the ones of LUNA II series (Gravity feed).                                                                                                           LUNA II series (Pressure) has already adopted the stainless steel.

 Simple product line-up

   We have sorted out our gravity model product range with a focus on Auto Refinish users. The combination options have been simplified, making     it easier to select the right product for user’s needs. LUNA II series specifications are also selectable from new series.

LUNA3 Fine Flat

• Optimized and stable particle size, with a wide and flat thin-film pattern, supports high-precision coating.
• In metallic, pearl, and color clear coatings, the thin and smooth film minimizes unevenness to the greatest extent.
• In color clear coatings, thin film application reduces color tone variation.
• In clear coatings, stable particle size enables finishes ranging from OEM-like to mirror gloss
• In solid coatings, a wide pattern allows for efficient application.

LUNA3 Middle Flat

• Stable particles & flat pattern for versatile applications
• Suppresses mottling for uniform and stable coating in metallic/pearl coatings
• Strong hiding power for efficient solid coating.
• Enables finishes ranging from factory-like to mirror gloss in
clear/color clear coatings

LUNA3 Arch

• Stable particles and center-thick arch patterns for thick film coating.
• In primer surfacer coating, stable particle size and thick film help improve surface _smoothness.
• In solid coatings, thick film application enables efficient coating.
• In clear coating, the stable particle size and thick film make it easy to create a mirror-like finish.

* LUNAⅢ series use the standardized needle for all three tip sizes such as 1.3, 1.5 and 1.8. The maintenance of spare parts becomes much easier than
LUNA II series because specific needles were used for each tip size

Easier to use spray function

To apply the tuning according to revised air balance to the air cap leads to improvements in the stability of a film thickness and the uniformity of particles with wider spray pressure and fluid flow rate range.
Changed shapes of both fluid tip and needle made a fluid flow rate easy to fine tune.
Revised air balance led to the increase in the linearity of a pattern tuning.

【Pressure Type】
   Easy model shift

    There is no significant change in both product range as well as coating performances in comparison with LUNA II Series, so that it is easy to          shift from LUNAⅡ series to LUNAⅢ series.
    LUNAⅢ series use the standardized needle for all three tip sizes such as 0.8, 1.1 and 1.4. The maintenance of spare parts becomes much easier        than LUNA II series which used two specific needles.

Improved operability and durability

DeVilbiss’s unique fluid tip with soft sheet to reduce paint leakages at the tip, which is one of specific characteristics of pressure feed guns, is used continuously.
Other parts are the same as the ones of gravity feed. Both operability and durability are better than the ones of LUNA II Series.
The shape of a hook was changed to the one that is easy to remove but not be detached accidentally.
